Once 5-0 and seemingly unbeatable, the San Francisco 49ers have now lost three consecutive games. Joe Burrow and the Bengals, who were 1-3 and struggling, have suddenly turned things around and are back to their old form. Cincinnati coach Zac Taylor expressed his lack of surprise at Burrow’s impressive performance, stating that it’s what they come to expect from their quarterback. However, this turnaround is unexpected for the Bengals, especially in September. On the other hand, the Green Bay Packers continue to struggle in the first half, scoring only nine points combined in their last five games and losing four in a row. Jordan Love admits that his play has been inconsistent and is looking to improve. The Minnesota Vikings, winners of three consecutive games, are worried that they may have lost their quarterback Kirk Cousins for the season. Lastly, the Denver Broncos managed to beat the Kansas City Chiefs for the first time since 2015 when Peyton Manning was their quarterback, ending the Chiefs’ 16-game winning streak in the series. Overall, it was a sloppy Sunday in the NFL with several backup quarterbacks taking the field, but Joe Burrow’s performance stood out the most. He had a stellar game against the once-strong 49ers defense, leading the Bengals to a convincing win. This puts the Bengals back in the conversation as contenders in the AFC.
