The latest update for the Cult of the Lamb is coming soon, and this Black Friday, Massive Monster has pulled back the curtain on their latest update, which will be FREE when it launches early next year.
While it had been suggested that the game may have reached an endpoint in the past, it has been confirmed that Cult of the Lamb has been officially confirmed to continue into 2024. Today, in celebration of Black Friday, Massive Monster has revealed their upcoming plans for their breakout hit of 2022, and the upcoming update is scheduled to land in early 2024 for the best price, FREE. Fans can see the official post from the title’s X (formerly Twitter) account, which is posted below.
The post describes the update as “packed with new features, stories, and more!” which sounds like an excellent excuse to revisit the roguelike when it hits next year. Over the next few weeks, Massive Monster has promised to deliver teasers for the upcoming content update and that “soooo much more content coming to the game!”
Cult of the Lamb launched in August 2022 to widespread acclaim, with a cult-like following sprouting almost overnight. CGMagazine’s review describes the title as an “excellent offering” with “it’s very easy to become indoctrinated into the cult, with a beautiful art style, and impossible to put down gameplay.” With the new update incoming, it makes too much sense to revisit old friends in Heaven’s Gate this Black Friday.
