RØDE has had a huge year for amazing gear aimed at the content creator. The RØDECaster Duo is among my favourites because they took everything that made the RØDECaster series of mixers the best audio mixers in the content creator space and made it more compact to fit into an everyday creator’s setup. The RØDECaster Duo’s submixing, ability to connect to RØDE’s wireless mics and ease of use make it my favourite audio device of the year, which means it would be a great Christmas gift for any content creator!
SteelSeries Alias
SteelSeries put the work in for their first foray into creator audio, which they showed with their Alias series of microphones. The Alias (A USB Mic) and Alias Pro (An XLR Microphone). The USB-only Alias was my favourite of the two, with the Alias Pro’s mini mixer easily replaced by hot keys with SteelSeries’ Sonar For Streamers software, which has the most impressive AI noise removal in the game. The Alias has a unique look and a great sound that any creator would be happy to have under the Christmas tree, and any SteelSeries completionist would crave.
Logitech G Yeti GX
The Yeti GX is Logitech’s latest USB microphone targeted at streamers, podcasters, and aspiring YouTube content creators. Made to be an upgrade over the already excellent Yeti, the GX brings useful new features like an LED mute indicator, a multi-function smart knob, and Blue VO!CE software to fine-tune your vocal presence.
The GX delivers rich, broadcast-quality sound thanks to its tri-capsule array that captures crisp treble, smooth midrange, and full bass all at once. It is a versatile mic that works equally well for game streams, vocal recordings, music production, or any content creation you have in mind that may need audio. The mute button and volume knob are handy physical controls when you’d rather not tab out to adjust settings. Let’s not forget it looks fantastic in almost any creator’s setup, making for a great Christmas gift for your content creator friends and family!
Saramonic BlinkMe B2 Wireless Microphone Kit
Wireless Microphone Kits have been released with a much higher frequency this year. For the longest time, you had the RØDE Wireless Go and the DJI Mic. Now, so many companies have thrown their hats into the ring. Among those is Saramonic, whose unique design ideas for the face of their microphones allow you to make the entire face of the transmitter into anything you want. It can be a badge for your brand with just your logo on it, or it can be a full-on audio monitor. This unique customizability and much better-than-anticipated mobile software make the Saramonic BlinkMe B2 a great buy.
Video
Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra Webcams have made a major jump in quality in the last 18 months, but Razer’s Kiyo Pro Ultra was my favourite of the year. Its impeccable color accuracy at 4K/30 fps or 1080/60 fps resolutions gives it a great picture out of the box. Their software was challenging initially, but it has improved and has not given me the challenges that this year’s competitors have presented. Plus, once you’ve set it up, you won’t need to think about it again, assuming you aren’t making big changes to your setup.

OBSBOT Tail Air
OBSBOT has taken their portable “Tail” AI camera and made it more portable and diverse. The OBSBOT Tail Air can be used independently of any computer for recording (where it can record locally to the camera) or streaming (which can be controlled from your phone. Its AI tracking is still among the best in the business, and you can upgrade your mobile experience with remote controls and a battery extender that allows for even more range of motion. Add to that its ability to connect to the computer in a wireless (via NDI connection) or wired capacity makes it one of the most diverse cameras available.

Sennheiser XS USB-C Mobile Kit An amazing vlogging kit, the XS USB-C Mobile Kit consists of a mini tripod/selfie stick made by Manfrotto, a cell phone holder that secures your phone in place like none I have experienced before (and has a cold shoe mount to add a light, shotgun mic or any number of accessories that you may want to use) and a USB-C Lavalier that comes from one of the premiere names in production audio. The tripod and phone holder are worth the price, even without the microphone, as they easily secure your gear and switch between horizontal and vertical filming. The quality of the audio is also great for the price, which makes it hard not to recommend as a Christmas gift for content creators

BEACN Mic Stand This is the first product release from the Canadian company since the initial launch of their BEACN Mic, Mix and Mix Create. It doesn’t involve removable pieces and has an extra extender that makes the mic stand not so low-profile if that’s what you prefer. The black and white color options also allow you to fit the BEACN Mic Stand to your setup’s aesthetic.
